Terms of business
The signed booking form by both client and artiste forms a binding contract, and confirms that you have read, and agreed to these Terms of Business.
Richard Graham is a member of Equity Actors Union (registered as RGent) and carries Public Liability Insurance up to a limit of £10 million. (Public liability insurance policy RTT112094)
All electrical equipment used by the artiste carries a Certificate of Inspection and Test of Portable Electrical Equipment (PAT test) which complies with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
A deposit of 25% is required upon engagement of the artiste. The deposit is non-refundable, except when an engagement is cancelled by the artiste, in which case all deposits will be repaid in full. In the event of cancellation by the client, the following fees will apply:
0 – 7 days |
8 – 14 days |
15 – 30 days |
30+ days |
100% |
75% |
60% |
Deposit only |
Cancellation of the engagement may be made verbally, but must be provided in writing with proof of posting. The date of cancellation will be accepted as the date of posting.
The balance of the fee is payable on the night unless otherwise stated.
All verbal agreements between client and artiste must be confirmed by the signed booking form. In the event of very short notice bookings, the booking form may be completed at the event for your records. In this instance, verbal agreements prior to the engagement will remain in force.
Any contract signed by both client and artiste shall be subject to these Terms of Business unless otherwise agreed between all parties concerned.
In the case of a booking for a stage or cabaret performance, the client is to provide a suitable performing area. The client must also ensure that there is an electrical supply meeting, or exceeding, British Standards.
For all engagements of the artiste, the client must ensure a separate area is available for the artiste to use for preparation and changing etc. Toilets are unacceptable. If a separate area is unavailable, this must be negotiated with the artiste.
The artiste may use a small, localised flame as part of the cabaret or stage act unless the client specifically indicates this contravenes the venue’s own terms of hire.
